Explorative events

The Tools for Change encompass events of various kind, that we co-develop and experiment with, together with partners. Here we test how relevant, complex themes and ideas can incubate learning, awareness and nudge behavioral change. We apply different didactic models mostly in experiential outdoor settings, and combine science theory with place-based solutions, activated by social outdoor experiences. Some of these explorative events may lead to concurrent course offers at MVI.

Inner and outer, mental and physical connection:
Laboratory days on developing new teaching offers at the MonViso Institute

By experience, being in nature helps us to connect with our bodily sensations through our senses, our inner feelings and thoughts, and most often allows to let go of regrets of the past, worries of the future, of our constant planning and doing mode. Our bodies and mind can become more aware and more fully alive and may also find ease, relax and joy, if within our comfort zone.

A workshop on complex challenges for alpine communities organised by the MonViso Institute and the shiftN Academy

We often say that it is necessary to take a bird's eye view when we are confronted with difficult questions. We want to take some distance in order to get away from the details and appreciate the main features of the issue at hand. But how does this translate into a practicable problem solving approach? We are exploring this question in a series of workshops in a collaboration between the shiftN Academy and the MonViso Institute.
